Will I lose my progress?
Your progress is stored on your device, and app updates don't touch it. Deleting the app deletes your progress. If you move to a new phone with an iCloud backup or Quick Start, the game's data comes along.
Does progress sync between iPhone and iPad?
Not yet: each device keeps its own progress.
How do I know where to continue on the map?
When the ferry map opens, the card at the bottom shows where you left off: your next route and which voyage it is. Just tap Devam Et (Continue). To see details such as the weather and the voyage goal first, tap Ayrıntı (Details).
What the map markers mean:
- Orange, pulsing pier: where you left off.
- Navy: open piers.
- Faded grey: piers not open yet.
- Orange outline: piers that open with the next line.
To play a different voyage, tap a pier's name or its dot. The routes leaving that pier are listed: new ones first, and routes whose three voyages you have finished with three stars last, marked "tamam" (done).
How do new lines unlock?
Lines open in order. Clear every route on your current line with at least one star and collect enough stars. The piers of the next line have an orange outline on the map, and the card at the bottom of the map shows how much is left.
When do Sonsuz Sefer and Günün Rotası open?
Günün Rotası (Route of the Day) opens after your first line; Sonsuz Sefer (Endless Voyage) opens after the Kadıköy line.
Why am I not on the leaderboard?
Leaderboards run on Apple's Game Center. To appear:
- Sign in under Settings › Game Center.
- Finish a Sonsuz Sefer round; your score is sent when the round ends.
The weekly leaderboard resets every Monday and the monthly one every 30 days; the next reset date is shown at the start of Sonsuz Sefer. Your personal best is kept in the game.
How do I turn the sound off?
Tap the speaker button at the top right of the main menu, or the sound button at the top right during play.
Does the game cost anything?
No. Vapurda Simit is free and has no real-money purchases. You earn coins only by playing.
Should I feed real seagulls simit?
As much as you like in the game! For real gulls, though, simit isn't a healthy food: it fills them up without the nutrients they need and teaches them to expect food from people. Watching them from the ferry deck is the kindest thing you can do.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. The game collects no personal data; see the privacy policy for details.
